BAEWATCH: FASHIONABLYSURFED
We caught up with our girl Alyssa to get all the deets on how to create that perfect insta shot, her fav accounts and what PD style she's currently loving.
I am a fashion & lifestyle blogger from southern California. I love styling outfits! I own a small business selling trendy hair accessories called Summer Buns & for fun I love to hang out at the beach. I love matcha, fresh flowers and a great pair of shoes.
I started blogging in the fall of 2018. I just decided one day to post an outfit pic and from that day on, that's what I still post.
It's definitely funny to look back on my feed and to see how far it's come.
Neutral tones.
Casual chic.
Summer vibes.
I wouldn't say I have a favorite follower. I am seriously so grateful for my community that supports my content consistently and engages with me in my dms. I love chatting and building relationships and I've met some of my best friends from the app. But I can't pick just one fav ;)
I don't think I've done anything too crazy. I used to be embarrassed to take photos in public but you quickly learn to not care what other people think.
Sometimes I'll do silly things like buy a prop for 1 photo but at this point I have no shame in my game.
I love a simple outfit with killer accessories. My go to is a crop top, a good pair of denim, air force 1s, gold statement jewelry, and my fav handbag.
I'm loving strappy sandals for summer. Currently obsessed with Cabo in blue.
Something that makes you happy & feel confident.
So many amazing babes... @lissyroddy @fashionismyfortee @sofiamcoelho @josefinehj @emmaleger @mvb @hannahschonberg @_kaesha this list goes on...
Some of my favorite apps are lightroom, airbrush, touch retouch, VSCO and Kirakira
GOOD LIGHTING. This is so so important for a good selfie! Also - experiment with your angles and what works best for you. Practice makes perfect!
I used to use a very edited filter, but now I love natural lighting. I try to make sure the photo has good lighting and I'll tweak some of the colors and tone the exposure down a bit but I try to keep it natural looking.
